The War, Prologue to Chpt. 3 by ~Adam-GodofYouth:iconAdam-GodofYouth:

The Celestial War, Prologue

Roughly half an hour before Pt. 1 -- er, I mean, the chat between Justin and Fut-- *is crushed by the fourth wall*

"Huh... that's odd. Never seen that hole in the clouds before." Future said. "Not even in the future... that can't be good."

Future's suspicions were confirmed when a demon climbed up through the hole.

"Yep. Definitely not good." Future said, grimacing. "Better go get the Goddess of Barriers."

The demon laughs at Future. "It's really not a good idea to announce your plans like that, y'know."

Future glares. "I KNEW you would say that." he says, before flying off to go get the Goddess of Barriers.

Roughly 10 minutes after that...

Future returns with the Goddess of Barriers.

"Ummm... how long ago did you say this occurred?" The goddess of barriers says, looking at the hundreds of demons pouring through the hole in the clouds.

"About... ten minutes ago, I think." Future says.

"And you didn't stop to think that maybe this would happen when you spend ten minutes to get coffee?" the Goddess of Barrier says angrily to Future.

"Hey, it's not my fault there's no God of Coffee!" Future argued.

The Goddess of Barriers sighs and begins to put up a barrier, but nothing happens. "Wha?"

A demon rises up from the masses. "Yeah, that tends to happen when a barrier is dispelled."

The Goddess of Barriers looks at Future. "Please tell me the Demon of Future saw me coming here and you didn't--"

"Announce his plans out loud right in front of me? Yeah, that's what he did." The demon that Future saw earlier floats up and smirks.

The Goddess of Barriers glares. "Future, you are an IDIOT!"

Future backs away. "Right... I'm going to go... alert... the others... BYE!" Future flies away as fast as he can -- if an angry woman is scary, an angry women DIETY is positively TERRIFYING.

The Celestial War, pt. 1: The Discussion

"Justin!" The person ran towards the bored person, standing and looking around at the field, made entirely of clouds.

"What is it, Future?" Justin said, to the God of the Future. "Here to gloat about how you know I'm going to get hit by a truck in three seconds or something?"

"No! Much much much worse!" Future exclaimed.

"Feh, what is it, Future?" Justin said, not entirely convinced. Future was rarely serious. But...

"Even I could not have predicted this!" Future said, a look of fear on his face.

Justin perked up instantly. "What happened?!"

"They... they found a hole in security! The demons found a way in!" Future informed, his look of fear growing more drastic with each passing second.

"No... no... dangit... this is not good. Did you already talk to the Goddess of Barriers?" Justin asked.

"Yeah, but they're attacking with all they've got. The Demon of Barriers is there too. In fact, I think every single demon, major and minor, in the entire demon realm is attacking!"

"Wha... what?!" Justin said, now extremely scared. "But we can't handle an attack at that scale right now! Some of our gods are still down in the mortal world, taking care of the dimensional rips!"

"They seem to already know about that... remember, they watch the mortal world too. But there's something else... we need to find out how the demons made their way in. There's no way a demon could have gotten through our security system. No one evil could have made it through."

"Unless..." Justin said, thinking. He reached a conclusion quickly. "Bring the newbie here. Now."

The Celestial War, Pt. 2: The Battle

Justin rushes to the scene. "Jeez, Future wasn't kidding. This really is bad." He looks around. Every available god(dess) is out into battle, but every single demon(ess) is attacking as well. Since for every god(dess), there is an equally powerful demon(ess) with the same specialty, and even the evil people who have been turned into minor demon(esse)s are fighting, that means the God(desse)s are severely outnumbered.

Justin looked around, trying to think of something that could be done to even the battle, but before he could think of anything--

"AGH!" Justin fell face-forward on the ground, as a dark figure smirked, walking up to him. "Never let an enemy get behind you, poor God of Magic. Heheh... it has been far too long since a God has died, don't you think?"

Justin got up shakily and looked back. "Hmph. Just like a Demon to attack from behind. Nah, I think I'm fine with Gods not dying, myself."

The Demon of Magic smirked. "Aw, that's too bad, because you know that a war always ends with some casualties..."

Justin glared. "The only beings to die tonight will be you, and every other Demon who dares fight against the Gods!"

Justin charged straight at the Demon of Magic, and another battle had been added to the already raging war.

The Celestial War, Pt. 3: Exposition

Justin fell to the ground. He winced as he tried to remember what happened. The Demon of Magic was right in his sight... but he had gotten hit. The Demon of Magic was faster than he had thought...

"Gah... You won't win... that easily..." Justin said. He started to get up, but was stomped back down.

"Foolish words from a foolish diety." The Demon of Magic chuckled. "You will make a much better trophy on my hellfire wall than you ever did a God."

Justin was in trouble. He snuck a glance at the battle before him, ringing in his ears, and saw the horror. The Demons were winning... their endless numbers were overpowering the Gods.

"In a few minutes, we will get what we rightfully deserve -- full control over the Mortal Realms. And after you Gods took it from us for so long, the first thing to do is wipe out everything you tainted with your thieving hands."

"What?! You're trying to take control of the Mortal Realms... just so you can obliterate it?" Justin exclaimed.

"This is why we don't like you Gods, pitiful God of Magic. You refuse to look at everything, and you refuse to acknowledge every addition. We don't plan on obliterating the Mortal World, we want to rebuild it, as the perfect environment we wanted all along." the Demon of Magic explained. "However, I wouldn't expect you to understand. Now, die!"

The Demon of Magic held his palm to Justin and began to chant. Dark Magic began to gather...

And the chapter ended.

This happened before Pt. 1. Yet it's Pt. 1.5. Maybe it should really be Pt. 0.5 or something. Oh well. Enjoy! Or, at least, don't hate it.
